There are at least four important elements of wedding vows traditional. The four elements are love, respect, comfort, and faithfulness. The promises that you made in your wedding vows represent the core foundation of healthy relationships between you and your spouse. If you want to build a successful marriage, you may need to obey and apply your promises said in your wedding vows.

It is not always easy to keep those promises in daily life; sometimes it can be very difficult. You may need struggle, patience and even sacrifice to obey your wedding vows traditional. Although it is not easy, you should keep your promises to ensure the security of your marriage and your happiness as well. A marriage is very sacred institution that all couples should keep it very well.

Here are some ideas about how to obey your wedding vows traditional to make a sacred marriage and happy family.


  • Live in harmony with your spouse. The statement "to live together in marriage" is the first promise you made in your wedding vows. If you live separately with your spouse, in different beds or homes, there will not be a real marriage. You should live with your spouse physically and spiritually at once.
  • Love your spouse as he or she is. To love your spouse is the second promise you made in your wedding vow is. There are many ways to manifest you love to your spouse. Your way to love your spouse is depending on the particular nature of your relationship. Choose one that best suits you and your spouse.
  • Make your spouse feel comfort. The comfort you give including all situations, happy or sad, angry or content.
  • Respect your spouse the way a real partner does. It means that you should respect your spouse completely, emotionally and intellectually as well. It also means that you should be faithful to your spouse, not only physically but also emotionally.
  • Keep your spouse all the time. It means that you are ready to be with your spouse all time and all condition (for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health). 
  • Be faithful to your spouse, physically and emotionally. Faithfulness includes promise to build open communication about all things and not to engage in physical or emotional affairs with other people.


If you are able to keep these things applied, this means that you are able to obey your traditional wedding vows.
